background - my only experience with a DAW is with Cubase LE, which had about 15% of the features Reaper does
scenario - using Reaper, I set up a buss and put some EQ and slight compression on it, and sent 2 guitar tracks to it. My understanding of doing something like this was to get the same EQ/fx over the channels bussed to it. I didn't realize that the original tracks would still be in the mix, so their untreated sound would still be present. Is there some way to just hear the effected guitars being sent to the buss, or is my understanding of how a buss works just wrong?
Thanks!
