Hey

im looking to buy a battery powered amp for busking with. i will be playing mainly classical stuff so i need the extra volume. the mini marshal stacks look like they wouldnt have much volume, so maybe the pignose, orange or roland cube amp?

its tempting to spend a little more and buy the models where you dont have to buy batterys for but simply re-charge. basicly i want it to be fairly light weight and doesnt run out of power in a small amount of time. whats the best option to go for????

cheers

I've got one of these:
http://www.ehx.com/ehx2/Default.asp?q=f&f=/Catalog/44_Freedom_Amp

It has long battery life (internal rechargeable) and excellent frequency response. I use it to augment my acoustic bass guitar, and I know guys that have even used them for vocals. It weighs about 7 lbs, I'd guess.

If you can find a Gas can amplifier, those were portable and didn't suck.
