I'm new to this forum, though I am a couple of DIY audio forums.

I have been doing some paid recording for a few local choirs with Behringer B2, 24bit A2D and Behringer valve preamps. I lately have bought a couple of the Behringer T-47 huge valve mics (12AX7-a inside the mic).

I used the T-47 to record a classical pianist at 24Bit @ 48kbs playing a Steinway baby Grand at the Monash University performing arts centre in Southern Victoria. I want to burn SACDs or HDCDs but are not sure how to go about this. I have been looking for SACD software but can find none. When I burn the high-rez wav to audio CD I just get red book of course.

Am I barking up the wrong tree? Is there software available which will help me generate a SACD or is it not possible with DVD/CD burners and standard PCs.

Can anyone help. By the way the T-47s are incredibly good and with the 24Bit A2D the wav files (though huge) sound very natural.

Please advise.

You can burn 24/96 DVD-As using various software. Wavelab is what I use, although I've never been personally motivated to burn a DVD myself . . .

Then you need to check if your players can read DVD-A. If not, I think you can also just burn as a regular DVD, but you have to add some DVD content I think . . .

My player is a Vacuum Sate upgraded Oppo 980H and does play DVD-A. I will try to find the software. Any known links?

Thanks.

To Wavelab? Yeah, here:

You need the full version for DVD-A authoring; it's not cheap. Maybe somebody knows something cheaper; I'll move this thread where it will get the right attention.

Found the site. There are so many versions I'm not sure which one I need to make the DVD-A. If you say I need the full version that is about $AU700?? I don't mind paying a few-hundred but 7 is high!

Thanks
