Hi

I think it's pretty good. Ed's voice fits well the song and sits well on the mix. I think some of the delays on the guitars or keys are not in sync with the tempo of the song. You might want to fix that. Very original song, nice work.

/Jack Real.

Dig that tremelo guitar...cool vox dogman...kinda reminds me of a White Zombie type thing.Bass seems a bit overpowering at times...I'm listening on some real whimpy PC speakers so its hard to judge.Cool tune guys!

Im not a metal fan, but listened to the whole thing...interesting stuff...nicely done i think...ofcourse from a listener perspective cuz i ain't a pro...

Jack Real Yeah a few people have mentioned the tremelo being out of sync in spots. The speed is controlled with a foot pedal. But you know what I'm so used to it now it sounds fine to me. I know, I have low standards. Thanks for the listen Jack

variaxman Hey man thanks for stopping in. Yeah I've just checked the mix in the car, and it is a bit boomy down bottom. I've put up a remix with a slight adjustment....Cheers man

bigj Interesting that you call it metal, as I hadn't really considered it as such. Ed's vox definitely give it a heavier vibe...hang on. You ain't a pro? Then get the hell outta here! Lol, thanks for your comments bigj

I kept waiting for the intro section to come back with full band fury but it came back a bit tame I thought.
I like the synth keybass.
Needs a key, tempo or volume gear shift by 2.30 to keep tugging at expectations. The bass change at 2.50 is almost enough though the 3.10 tempo change struck me a little to jazz because the motor didn't go into top.
The vocals are interesting - deathmetalesquevocoderman.
All up pretty flash I just reckon it needs a gear change.
Cheers

Yes, I heard part 2 I believe. This one is even more interesting and has a better rhythmic pattern. This would scare the hell out of my mother, so I think that means you are really onto something :D

It could use maybe just a tad more variety key-wise, like a modulation to g minor for a spell. The effects on the voice are top notch and creative. The overall mood is excellent ( or despair!). Its moody and creepy, something much harder to pull off than many would expect. Good stuff.

Listening on my headphones as I type... Cool snake rattle intro....how did you do that? I agree it might work well in more places in the song (kind of an interlude maybe). Works well.....
Big drum sound in the breaks but kind of get weaker in other (verse) parts - takes away some of the punch maybe. Still, the drums sound good overall.
The guitars are very "synth" sounding - great effects - very heavy sounding. The tremelo works well throughout this song, it's a bit tough to control, but you did a pretty good job. Is that a "live" or "after the fact" effect (if that's possible?)
The lyrics are straight up "deep dark" Dogman style (i.e. cool), as are the vocals themselves - love that "growl".
Another great collab guys.....

Thanks people, for comments on my part. Bulls stuff is a challenge for me to write to, and I kind of like that. Makes me actually work at it a bit. I get to do something different, at least as far as my mind works.... :D

You guys definitely have a Peanut Butter/Jelly matchup happening. Each compliments the other and it wouldnt be the same without both of you on the tune. I was gonna say something naughty and risque but I will leave that to the cave. :p

Where at in the Cave???? :D

rayc You got some good ideas there rayc. I like to keep things simple, but yeah the tune could do with some more dynamics, and like you say, fury. Thanks for the suggestions man. I'm probably not going to do any more on this one, but I'll bear them in mind for next time

DavidK I agree, while not w/o its flaws, this one does seem to roll along better than the previous one. On the G minor thing, yeah it is a little one dimensional. I'd actually tracked quite a lot of different segments that just got chucked out at arrangement time so I could pare the thing back a bit - maybe a bit too much. Peanut butter & jelly haha absolutely right. It's great that Ed can hear what he hears, I don't know how he does it. Thanks for the feedback

ido1957 Snake rattle, yeh does sound a bit like that. I actually dragged a condensor mic outside and recorded a bunch of cicadas. First time I've had insects on a tune. The different drum levels are due to hitting the snare with the right hand during the verses & the left during the breaks. Different angle meant I didn't rim the right hand shots properly so got less volume. The tremelo effect is a from a digitech pedal so controlling it is kinda trial & error. Man I've got all the excuses haven't I. It was great to get Ed's vox on there and finish the thing off. Thanks for your comments on this one again, appreciate 'em

lol...i don't know much about the whole rock/metal/punk ...you know ...how to differenciated (spell???) it. But yeah...i like the whole vibe it has...i like things i could actually understand what the hell people say...and as long they have something good to say ...i'll listen and really doesn't matter what genre the instrumentals are in...for me it's all about the lirics and flow of them!

BTW im more of a PRO now than what i was in the last post!!! lol
