What is a demantable?

Well, there's 'demantable' and there's 'dekidtable'.

I still remember that thanksgiving when my dad said that I didn't have to sit at dekidtable. I looked up, and there was my own place setting at demantable. What a beautiful turkey it was that year.

Would there be enough room on a table for a studio with that big turkey there, not to mention the stuffing, mashed taters, cranberry sauce (and the, gulp, candied yams)?

I think there's already too many "turkeys" for one table :=) ; but I still want to know (enquiring minds, and all that) what a mantable REALLY is, besides one with taller legs... Steve

Hey, banned - don't take us seriously, God knows WE don't - like I never make mistrakes :=((

I would hazard a guess, based on the size (3x12m or about 10x39 ft) that a demountable is a towable trailer (RV) that can be "de-mounted" from the towing vehicle.

Darryl.....

Hey I guess you are right:

I've never actually seen one of these. Everyghing in the west at least is either piggyback or containerized.

Frankly I would feel leary about spending any quantity of time in something perched on such spindly legs. I couldn't possibly think of that standing up loaded in a moderate earthquake, and even a strong wind might be a concern.
