my dad just gave me a spring analog box. i have no idea where it came from exactly, but i know its audio ready. basically, its just the spring unit, with 2 input wires (+,-) and 2 output wires (+,-).

could anyone help me with any schematics about how to use that to make a studio ready reverb unit, with all the knobs and jacks, etc.....any hints, suggestions, references, etc would be appreciated

hmm i'm heavy into diy and building my own studio equipment brennan - but with respect and for your own safety i would take a short electronics course
on transistors, fets, and op amps. PLEASE dont attempt building electronics unless youve had some training first. there are lots of schematics on the net
however and some interesting sites.
just do some searching. but frankly if your looking for that type of echooooooeeeey or sprrriiinnngggy type of effect you might want to consider a piece of software on your pc. most multitrackers like the one i use on my pc called powertracks are loaded with built in effects for reverb/echo/flanging etc. mine only cost 29 bucks and is a multitracker as well.

if its intact, then you just need to soldersome connectors on to it... im pretty certain that spring reverbs are usually passive units with a transducer at each end of the spring/s. the signal from your aux outs should probably have enough gusto to get the party started... on the other hand it is highly likely that i am completley wrong!!!!

my dad has a really good understanding of electronics, and will be helping me. the spring unit already has the transistors on there and everything
