Does anyone know of anyone online resources about building your own isolation booth?

If not, where can I get a reasonably priced, usable isolation booth?

Thanks in advance!

Studio building forum is the best studio building place on the web...just go there.

How much isolation are you talking about? I built a sound deadening contraption that is just a PVC pipe rectangular cubicle big enough for two, fully draped by mover's blankets. It works like a charm deadening the acoustics and filitering out things like hard drive whirring... But it is not acoustic isolation by any means.

i've built a few booths.. made a nice frame 6x8 and built the booth with HDF wood.. (high density fiberboard)

after the frame was up i lined it with vinyl barrier 2 layers on the inside of the frame 2 on the outside.then i put up 1inch thick hdf for the walls. put some more vinyl barrier around them, then acoustic foam...

i built this for a friend of mine.. he spent a total of about $350-400 and he has a nice size vocal booth now.. he wants to add a window in it but for now it just has talk back.. we built it over a a/c vent so it could stay cool... it came out looking like this: http://www.soundsuckers.com/4x8plat.jpg

only one side was built to the preexisting wall and the ceiling

Nice! That's about how much I would like to spend.

I just need a vocal booth .. nothing big. Probably 4' x 5' and about 6'9" tall.

The isolation doesn't have to be GREAT... but it is for a one-room project studio, so I am trying to isolate the mic/s.

Could you provide a little more detail on how you went around buidling it? or what did you use as a reference when building it?

Thanks! That was a alot of help..
