Building a rack cabinet

i'm building a 19" rack cabinet and i want to mount my alesis mictube which has holes for rack ears, but i can't seem to find any for it. it's 8 1/4" wide, has anyone had any problems finding universal ears for a 19" rack? i may have found some, but they're 5 1/2" long and that would put me at 19 1/4" wide for the rack, which i'm not sure would work with the cabinet i plan on using. if i can't find anything, i'll have to just put it on a rack shelf. :/
