i know nothing about electronics, but i've always been very interested in them.... i have only every built things that come in "kit" form with implicit instrucions.... unfortunatly most of the kit stuff i can get hold of isn't really musician oriented... here is the kit stuff i've built
metronome : worked out really well, and works well as a paperweight
mic pre-amp: "there's solder in my eye, HELP" this one was a disaster inever even got to the "testing" stage
theremin: this sukkah kicks arse!!@!, so much so i have dedicated it to its own amp... makes an excellnt "pad" for songs... i play it while i'm not drumming... this thing rocks i should post a sound clip of it sometime
o.k. now back to the issue at hand, my next project will be my first non-kit form capacitor-resistor-transistor, straight off the plan, no pre scored pcb, 999% likely too fuck up and get solder in my eye job...
i am planning on building a fuzz face style distortion box.... this seems simple enough, i'll attatch it....
btw do a web search for "ampage" this is an electronics forum i found yesterday (unfortunatly i cleaned out my history and temp folders so i dont know the url)
