Buffer Overrun Stuttering in CEP

I need some help with my setup. I am using a Zoltrix Nightingale SDIF input from my Sony MD deck to upload some shows I have recorded (with band permission). My problem is there are these weird "blips" of what sounds like double data ever so often that appear to not have a pattern. It sounds like stuttering. I have turned off everything I can think of that might cause a problem. My best results have been when I set the buffers to 2 and record in real time without any data in the buffer. I am using Win XP with CEP, AMD Athlon 1.9Ghz with 1Gb of RAM. I have had similar problems using the record function on CD WAV as well. Thanks for any feedback or suggestions on what might help.

i wouldn't think that it is your computer being too slow, so you shouldn't have a problem with setting the buffers higher. Usually if you increase the bufer size that popping will go away but you increase your latency. That is wierd that a smaller buffer will get you better results.

maybe try posting your question in the computer recoring forum insted, you may get more help there.

Does this only happen when you use that device to record from, or always? Exactly which version of the program are you using?
