Just food for thought
.... but I bought an old Tascam M30 mixer for $80 bucks and in spite of the fact that is weighs 40 pounds, has RCA connections instead of 1/4" (except for the mic inputs which are XLR), does not have built in effects, and took two days to thouroughly clean up........ it was some of the best money I ever spent.
I owned a Berry mixer (an 802) and although I hear the preamps in the UB series are better than the older MX's, I can tell you that the pre's in this circa '85 M30 are WAAYYYY better and the EQ section is WWWAAAAYYYYYYYYY better.
More flexability.
Better sound.
Built like a tank.
Better sound.
VU meters
and....
better sound.
My point is..... if you take some time searching you can find used gear that was, when new, many levels above the $200 range mixers new on the market today..... and for next to nothing.
If you find a used mixer for $100 you could spent the rest of your budget on a few good cables or something.
Just my 2 cents FWIW.
