Returned from the dead
not really a drummer. i dont really know anything about drums but i saw this video on youtube where this guy was using a frisbee with a trigger attached as a cymbal in his electronic drum set. well if thats possible couldnt i just go out and buy some buckets and frisbees and put some cheap triggers on em and use them as a really crappy midi drum set?

yep.

But why even bother with the buckets and frisbees? Just bang on the triggers. Hell you could get away with just one trigger - just play the song through one "drum" at a time by tapping on it. Then you wouldn't even need a drumstick.

People have put triggers on yoghurt containers and watermelons. You could mount triggers in your favorite slippers. Old smoke alarms and microwaves can be a source of free piezo triggers.

You'll need something like an Alesis D4 to plug the triggers into.

It wouldn't really be crappy, if you look at the old trigger setups like the Tama Star pads I have they aren't much more sophisticated and they worked pretty well.

sweet. looks like im making a drum set lol.
