Broadcast WAV or WAV?

Is this just a preference ?

I think that the broadcast wave carries STMPE code unlike the regular wave

Nope, no quality difference, but broadcast wave files do come in very handy.

Clit is right.
The quality is the same one just has timeline info so as when small pieces of file are dumped into a program that works with broadcast wave it automatically snaps to the right spot in the time line.

Many programs let you create them but few actually take advantage of the features.

Broadcast WAV's don't have SMPTE timecode, just a timeline reference as Tmix states. Broadcast WAV's are jsut WAV files with more metadata. The sound quality is identical.
