Britpop! This time from Holland

Heard some great Britpop tunes from a French guy here a few days ago. I really like the style, the catchy stuff and rock 'n roll-influences so I went to work with this idea I had this morning under the shower. All instruments by me, so the playing and singing lacks quite a bit but I hope you like it.

Ewww a lot things wrong. The vocals sound like its through SHITTY speakers. The music isnt bad just the recording has no depth. Its not really a mix its just all the tracks put on top of each other with the correct volumes. The eqs arent right. Are you a vetern at recording or what? Becuase I wouldnt expect this quality of a recording from a vetern.

Its a good song, the instruments sound fine. The vox arent great but you sing a lot better than I can so I applaud you trying. The main problem seems to be the vocal at the right that doubles the main one at times. When its not there its fine. The song is very cool and I like the intrumentation.

This is a good song sketch - as you stated.
The bass plods a bit. The guitars reminds me of the Kinks, esp the dirty electric over the acoustic.
The organ is cool.
That second vocal is a little in need of TLC.
The main vocal sounds like it needs some warming up & rehearsal. But the ideas it outlines are good.
As a non singer I applaud your efforts. I don't think the probs sound speaker related.
As a veteran of almost a long period of shortness I say GOOD. NOW, work on your ideas - esp. consider a) working on the vox or b) getting someone in to do 'em for you.

I can hear how much effort you actually did put in this piece. There are many elements there that show out your skills. I respect that.
I did not like vocals. It’s not sounding good. There are several reasons for that and the biggest one is that vocal is most of time out of pitch.
Mix can be improved too but I would rather wait until vocals are retracked.
Try to experiment transposing instrumental down for a one key and see if it makes singing easier. Anyway, I liked your song and I’m looking forward to hear from you again.

Hey there. When this starts, I really loved the intro. Then the song got weak when the drums and rest kicked in.

Loads of great ideas there. I think you really need to sift through them all and work out what this song actually is going to be.

...I'm now at the end, and I love that too.

So the start and end are great. You need to work hard on the middle. That shouldn't be too tough, eh?

That could be what's causing it to sound like its through SHITTY speakers.
