What kind of giutar does Brian use, and what does he use for a set up? He's got a pretty unique sound, and is able to reproduce it song for song. Anyone out there know??? Thanx, Tom.

Apparently live he would stack a whole bunch of Vox AC30 (?)combo amps.

Vox is correct Vox AC30s studio and live almost exclusivly..The pickups/electronics on the homemade guitar are from a Burns/Baldwin guitar, British Strat type of thing with a six position varitone nob..Cool guit my freind had one when we were kids

Unfortunately, Brian's hands, heart and soul are not available at your local retailer.
He could play a Sears guitar through a pignose amp and still sound like himself.
The equipment is not going to give you his sound. You would do better by working for a year straight just on your left hand vibrato technique -- then you might start getting into his ballpark.
