Hi all,
Gonna be breaking my pc for sale very soon.
Just wanted to gauge interest before i hit the bay.

I have the following
Motherboard......Gigabyte p35 ds4 rev 2.1 Boxed as new with cables etc.(£70)
CPU..................Intel q9550 2.8ghz stock. (£150)
Ram.................OCZ reaper HPC edition 8500 8gb. (4 x 2gb sticks) (£35 a stick, £60 a pair)
GFX cards..........2 x albatron 8800gt 512mb pcie with aftermarket zalman coolers. (£50 each)
HDD.................1 x INTEL X25-M 80gb (£100)

There's an arctic freezer pro 7 that I'll throw in with the CPU. It wasn't dear.
Prices are rough. I only had time for a quick google.

The hdd is incredible. Seriously! I bought two and I'm going to keep one for my next pc.

CPU clocks to around 3.4 safely without upping voltage and stays cool too.
I did run it overclocked for a brief period but realised it wasn't necessary after a while.

I'm not a big gamer but the GFX cards handled HL2 and Portal 2 at top specs.
I know that's not much of a claim but those are the only games I've played on it.

Let me know folks.
Thanks.

Just a wee screen shot from when I built it to give you the idea.

In a manner of speaking,yes.

My dell laptop got replaced with a MacBook Pro a while back, so I think it's time the desktop followed.
Looking at a mac mini server, but we'll see how far the dollars can stretch.

See! I told ya.

I meant to ask Paul ..... What's different with a UK computer to one that is in the US? Just Power supply?

As far as I know, that's it.

In a lot of cases (no pun intended) the psu is the same too, with a 110/240 switch on the back.

If anyone's looking that ram I'll do a good deal. I'm sure US postage wouldn't be out of the question with something so light,
And if anyone's selling a 2011 mac mini (2.0ghz i7), I'm yer man.
