Rock Steady
I was noodlin around with my new B4 and copped a little groove. I thought this might be a good theme for a "sax man" and a guitar player to show their ass a little on. It's an older conventional theme along the "Muscle Shoals" genre. The bridge is not on here, it takes too dang long at 56k to upload all of it. Its totally unmanicured, but I thought i`d drop it in for comment, and see if anybody thinks it might merit fruition.

Very cool groove Ken....

Sax and guit are gonna sound good on this...
you gonna upload the rest for us sometime?

Joe

Another cool groove from the T man!

Diggin' this bro. It sounds familiar, but I can't quite place it. That organ sound is happenin'.

Would love to do some more with ya'. Let me know when it's my turn again.;)

I love that riff. Stuff like that is so easy to play off of.

Cool groove toki.A guitar picker could smoke on this one too. This sounds like something that "Delbert McClinton " would just wail on vocally.

Upload the rest of it!

nice. organ was a little buried on my computer speakers but i liked the sound of it. I've been considering buying that B4 for a while.

Thank you Joro, it was jus thrown together so i could play with the presets on the b4.
the bridge is pretty conventional and seesaws the riff C.. Bb/Cbass , G , C Bb, A, D D7, then back to the riff. If the guys are up to doing it, you`ll get the whole thing.

Khompewtur, I like to see a sweaty sax player! :)

Alan, if the guy that I got in mind don`t dig it or can't, it`s yours. But you'll hafta eat some fried chicken before you cut it. :p

ashulman. I love this organ, I just wish I could play it... if Ralph wasn`t so loaded up i`d ask him to do something with one hand on it. And still may ask anyways :)

Track Rat, yeah man, its just a easy groove, that 3rd set kinda stuff after the smoke break.

Kramer, thanks man. 5 of the notes in the bass riff are played about the same as one of DM`s early tunes, different key, a little different feel. I`m glad you like it, bein a Georgia boy n all :)

erichenryus, thanks for listening, the b4 is nice, its a cpu hog but it`s well worth it.

I guess if yall guys dont mind a little simple cornbread kickin sweatband groove music, I`ll go ahead and clean this thing up and we`ll see how it turns.

thanks for listenin,
Ken :)

Sounds like the bass line on 'Back In Love Again' by.....hmmmmmm..someone..can't remember who right now.

Hey Toki.....I'm too lazy to PM ya' rite now but I'd love to put some sax on this.

Thanks Lt, a million. I`ll move my procrastinatin butt and get it cleaned up and polished. Waitin on word on a guitar. I`m gonna retrack that organ into the background more and play real bass on it. I`m gonna go out to the shed and see if that old cowbell is still around too, hehehe. I enjoy playing this kinda style sometimes. Not a lot of folks that can get down into that flavor of a groove and hang.

Your right, first part of the bass riff is almost identical to "back in love again", I remember that from around '77 I think, in Eb :) I`ll refinger it a bit on bass so it nobody will think its pagurized.

I want more B4 ! I must have more B4. I love that.

Everything very tight and well done. Its conventional and familiar but somehow still interesting. I really think its the musicianship on the B4 that makes the difference.

I will gladly wait in line to try some guitar on this if you need me...

Groovy. :D

Didn't expect the 80s snare, but it sounds phat. :)

Real bass, real bass, real bass!

LTD (Jeffrey Osborne). On my all-time ten favorites list.

I wanna listen to this, Ken, but I'm backed up for a few days. Will try, though...

Real good recording. Not sure what you were doing with the panning on the keys, but it sounded very cool on headphones. The bass was a nice sound (real?). Us ameteurs can't always tell.

Something weird at :08, and 1:10.

The flange on the keyboard was kind of quick. Not a big deal, but I didn't notice that some of the chords that were held for a longer period of time had a little "weirdness" to the sound that I think was due to the flanger.

Very minor things. Nice piece of music and recording.

Trip...

Great tune and sterophonics. You could anywhere with that, instrumentally or lyrically........

Kool jams Kenny, love this! I agree with Kramer, ole Delbert would eat this alive. Great tunes as usual:)

Coudn't turn down listening to something called Bread N Beans ... :D

Very nice little jam. I think the sax will add a lot, and are there any vocals going on this?

The recording sounded good on this end. Might be nice to hear more of the B4

:)
