Nice song and playing. The highs of this mix are awfully sizzly. The percussion in particular. The shakers, cymbals, and snare get pretty harsh at times.

Yep..the graph looked hot, but I got a cold on top of my already whacked ears....I can't hear too well in the top....appreciate the heads-up.

Gonna ditch the lame vox and substitute a building horn thing, too.

\ BTW...I used a real snare! Getting to a kit a piece at a time :^)
 
I like it alot dude. It's cool as hell. Maybe just turn down that maraca a little LOL

Other than that I think it's awesome!
 
Nice tune, great guit playing. I think at times, the main guitar part gets buried. Well, not buried, but not out in front where it should be. I didn't like the whistling. I think the vocals could work with some rearrangement. Bring them forward a little more and spread them out across the stereo stage.
I like the bass tone, perfect for this song.

I'm sitting here in the middle of Europe surrounded by ice and snow and this reminded me of sandy beaches, latin girls, cocktails, warm blue sea....*sigh*
On a serious side, this is classy stuff Jeff. But we're used to that from you.....;). The performance is tops and the mix as clear as it gets. You haven't lost momentum.

Now this is nice, very evocative of a sultry evening in the Copacabana. The highs are a little sizzly, but that just serves to accentuate the summer heat :D
