hello I am just starting out on home recording and would like to know where to begin.I just bought a sony vaiorx830 digital studio with 512 mb ram,80 gb,and I had an all in one radeon video card put in because I would like to get into editing and scoring videos as well but I know very little about that as well.My knowledge is very minimal and i guess my question is what type of sound card and what type of software would a beginner need to get started that would be easy to learn.also are there any good places to look for lessons for beginners,I have some software on vaio sound forge ,sonicstage but it doesn't seem to be for importing guitars,I mainly play guitar and vocals I also have a boss sp-202 sampler and aboss js5 jamstation backing machine,sorry about length of post but I would really appreciate any help getting started .Thanks john m
