Not feeling this one Rat.

The intro sounds like a taffic jam or something. Then it goes into that high pitched hit (piano?). Not feeling that sound from the door. The heavier piano just doesn't sound right to me. Strings and drums are the best things going in this one. Everything else is kinda off sounding to me.

Alright... I let this one run a few times on loop and caught it a little more. Sounds a little better but all comments still stand. From what I hear the strings come in and make things make a little bit more sense. Maybe it's just me.

I can apprieciate your honesty.... This track is a little of the wall I will admitt... But there was something about it.. This is why I posted it to get some of my peers opinions.... Thanks LAZI as usual for taking the time....

wassup playboy..........long time no see.......I been on the d.l. for a minute.....anyway I feel this track EXCEPT for the heavy piano stabs or whatever it is.......when it drops from the beat and the track just rides with that other high pitched piano I think it's hot,drums are on point as usual........also feelin' the bassline.....do you have a new cd out now?

Well... Where am I? I'm still lurking on the boards but I don't post in this forum anymore... That DJ'FINGAZ shit just made me go away... It's too bad because I enjoyed commenting and critizing other people's beats but with all the shit that has been going on in this forum lately, I just don't post anymore...

Since you've always commented on my beats, I'll comment on yours:

- First, your bass: Nice, I can hear it, but it's located too much below the 120hz mark... Try to boost frequencies in the 200Hz-400hz range of your bass and see what sounds best... It will add some 'presence' to your bass.

- Try to add a slight reverb to what LAZI called 'The high pitched piano'. It would make everything stick together more.

- Again, on that 'high pitched piano', you remember when I was talking about envelopes? Try to add some decay maybe to that sample... The sample just cuts too abruptly which is a bit unpleasant to the ear...

- I can see (Should I say 'hear'?) what you're trying to do with the kick and the snare: quick 'meaty' hits (I don't know if you get me here). You achieved it greatly. Only thing I would do is to boost up the levels of these two BUT KEEP THE BALANCE!!! It's perfect! (By keeping the balance, I mean if you boost one by 2db, boost the other by 2db too... Nahmean?)

- That bass piano hit; try to put it somewhere else or find a melody for it. I have a lot of new beats and I did some without using samples (Yeah! Can you believe it?! Beathoven making beats without samples!) And I think that if used chords in conjunction with the high pitched piano notes, it would make the beat really 'full sounding'.

- The strings get out of key sometimes but I can help ya much with this problem cause I have the same when I make my basslines...

You shouldn't let Mr. Fingaz prevent you from displaying your skillz dog... No one can steal your ability to create them tracks......

Open up the envelope on the sample.... MMMM...... I will try this on the piano sample....

Yeah I have spent alot of time on the kick and snar tracks...

I liked it. The only thing I didnt like was the piano stabs. Other than that it was rolling quite nice. It sounds original. Keep it up

P.S.my fault on the quality of criticism I usually give.....I can't post
comments like Hove does because I try and try to just listen to the music as a "consumer" instead of an engineer/producer I used to though and it got to the point where I just couldn't listen to music and just bob my head.........hope ya know what I'm sayin'

The intro probably threw most of us.
I dig the drums, bass, and strings.
Not feeling the low piano that peeks in ocassionally. I agree with B-hov on the decay comment. Overall i dig it. maybe some synth to make the chorus easier to catch if the listener isn't counting bars and to inspire a catchy hook.

Once again.... Hi D Ho on point with a detailed analysis.... Yeah Ima work with the envelope a little more.... The point B_Oven made about the sample cutting off abruptly is very accurate....
