BR8 soounds tinny

I've fooled with EQ, but my PRS doesn't have any bass presence. I plug it into the BR8. Maybe I should mic an amp? OK so I'm playing it through the pc with cheap speakers, but other music sounds ok.

You should be getting some sweet tones (without even playing with EQs) plugging directly into the BR8. What effects are you using through the BR8 with your Guitar.

Also, try plugging some good headphones into the BR8 directly to listen. That is your true sound.
 
Sounds tinny? Man, I usually have to back the bass off on most of the preset effects on the BR-8. Mic'ing your amp should give you a pretty awesome sound if you do it right, but there are some very usable effects already in there. Especially for rough tracks and ideas and stuff. I think the BR-8 is probably the best thing I could have gotten for the money. It puts a lot of boxes into one, you know?
 
Direct guitar usually sounds a bit thin compared to a real amp. Mic the amp for best results.
