i recorded a track on my br600. when i played it back, there were parts i didn't like, so i found out how to erase those parts. but now instead of the track data sliding together for one continous track, there are gaps where i did the erasing. how do i get rid of these gaps? thanks.

If it's an instrumental part you need to isolate a good version of the phrase you were trying to record, then cut and paste it to fill the gaps.

If it's a vocal part, consider singing it again.

Either way, there's no command on the BR-600 that will do what you're looking for --- slide existing data forward or backward in time to fill time in the tracks. You can do this yourself by using the 'track erase' command to trim the length to after you've cut + pasted a well played section of the material in question. The BR-600 lets you specify the number of repeats up to 99 times.

One tip -- get the tempo as close as possible, then activate the 'AB Qtz' function from pg 59 of the manual,

I replied to this in the other thread. I don't have the 600, but doesn't it have a track cut function???

Don't have a BR600, but if it indeed does not a a function to let you cut out silent space and a PASTE function overwrites, the use copy and paste as follows:

COPY: everything after the end of the first silent space (all the way to the end of the song)

PASTE: at the beginning of the first silent space.

Do these two steps at each silent spaces until they are all are gone, then find the desired end point of the song and delete everything thereafter (which should be the last part of the song repeated over and over).

Nope.

Just 'track erase' -- (in addition to move, copy and exchange) which is how this question came about.
