Not sure if this is normal or not: Inputting 2 mics and tracking them simultaneously in an X/Y pattern. When recording dry, the "Mic 1" signal is much stronger than "Mic 2." But when using a "simultaneous" effect patch, they're about the same. (I know both mics and cables are good.) Has anyone else observed this?

p.s. I called Roland who said there "might" be a problem (but Roland has given me inaccurate info in the past about this model). Then I called the local authorized service outlet and they said "I think that's normal."

I have noticed this as well, I have "core" input level settings written down to start out each time so that my songs are relatively the same loudness, and I discovered that input one I had to crank the sensitivity way down on it. Why I don't know myself and whatever really, I just find myself never using that one anymore.
In your situation you may want to do a bunch of one minute songs with different settings and write down any variables you may want to retain, you may get the "perfect sound" and won't remember how you got it(that's why I write things down)
