Hey Everybody,
I consistantly record my drums the same way, because it's the only way I know how.
Input 6 : SM58 or SM57 pointing inside the Bass Drum cutaway hole
Input 7 : SM57 2" overtop snare drum at 45 degree angle
Input 8 : B-1 Condnesor mic as a over head, about 5 feet in the air in from of the kit
This seems to work good. Problem is, I have to do alot of compression and a little reverb to make them sound a little more pro and a little less dry and boring. I then always mix those 3 tracks down to track 15/16 so I thin have 6 + 7 + 8 to play with again.
Does anybody have any tips to improve this or found a COSM effect or loop effect they particualarily liked ?
How does everyone else do their drum tracks on their BR machines ?
