br 532 to CD burner

I'm considering getting a BR-532. Need to know more about how the digital out works.

I have a stand alone burner (Acer CDRW) with USB input. I also have a laptop with USB port and PC card slot (no internal CDRW though).

The main question for now, is: Can I send finished songs directly to the burner, using a smart media card reader?

Follow up question: How about for sending files to the PC (I know about the Boss software download)?

Bottom line: Do you use the 532's optical out, or is there another digital output?

I am using it with CakeWalk HS2002 and the Boss smart card reader. Having a wonderful time with both... hope you get there soon as well..
