Is there a way to change the bpm in the metronome without it changing the bpm of any tracks already recorded. I started something without using the metro and now i want to add a click track and i dont want to start over. Thanks for any help.

Not sure i follow....

The tempo set for the metronome will be the tempo of the project... If you recorded audio tracks to one tempo and then change the overall project tempo, the previous tracks won't line up...
Unless they're MIDI tracks? Those will follow along...

You could also use Audiosnap and adjust the audio tracks via their transients I suppose...

Or am I REALLY off-base to what you're asking...?

If you recorded something without a click track and now want to "add" a click track, the first tracks you recorded without a click won't line up to the new click. It's just going to cause more problems down the road and you'd be best re-recording everything with a click.

You can add a tempo change at any point in your project. Just set the click to come in at that point if you don't want to re-record.

You can also use Audiosnap to line up your recordings to an existing tempo map.
