Boundary or Individual Mics?

I've been talking with some friends about starting a podcast and have been looking into how to record it. I would prefer to mic everyone individually but some people feel this would be obtrusive. So I started looking into other options and came across boundary microphones. Would something along these lines work and would the sound quality be any good? We would all be sitting around a large table. Is this something I should consider or should push harder for individual mics?

A single mic for each person would be best, and would probably ensure the best sound quality. A boundary mic may pick up too much background noise.

I don't listen to podcasts that have iffy sound. If you want to do it right & make the experience good for this listener use those nasty obtrusive mics, (how obtrusive can it be if it's Pod not Vod?).
