Bounce stereo track to mono

I would like to take some tracks that were recorded with the stereo input option chosen by mistake and create mono tracks for ease of panning.

I am using Sonar 2.0XL.

Can I just arm for recording a new track (choosing mono option), solo the existing one, and play?

Will I lose anything?

Try "Edit -> Bounce to Track".

Under (I think, I'm not in front of the DAW right now) Tools; Export audio or mix to new track. Solo the track you want to manipulate, select mix to new track and there's a drop down window that offers "mix all info to stereo" track or " mix stereo info to mono track".

But then you need to import the exported wave again...
