Bossa Nova Rumble

Apologies are in order for neglecting explanation.

Rumbling involves someone posting a jam track, participants recording solos over the track and posting the results. Previous Rumble threads are found here, here, here, here, here, here, and here. Solo instruments are generally guitars, although banjo and bass have also been used.

This jam track is a preset song from the Yamaha RY9 rhythm programmer. The incount came from the drum machine, too.

Anybody gonna try this? I can post the chords if it'll help.

That might help. I'm a stupid guitarist and can't follow the changes. :)

Very nice playing apl. Can you describe your melodic approach with this? Sounded very natural through the twists and turns of the modulating progression.

Ok, Mr. APL....here is my try at this.....I played it several times, looking for a tone...and never found one.
And, after all that, never figured out anything to play, so this is one take, nasty notes and all. And you might find it hard to believe, but not edited at all.... :D

My Basso Rumble

Setup was: Really old Ibanez>POD XTL (Dimebag Lick Setup)>Carvin SX 200>Shure SM58>New DMP3 ( :D )>crappy DAW.....then to the net....

I know, hard to believe....

I started with the Dm pentatonic, then I think Fm, then Ebm, and finished up with Am. The part I liked the best was the Em scale at 1:07.

I'm going to have to try this :D I'll be back in a few with mine...

I'm just so glad to be able record anything. I might try again, later.
