I have a JS-5 Jam Station and have been useing the table top to record songs. Is there a way I can buy midi links and run them through my computer and into the JS-5? It takes me about 3 hours to put a song in on the table top and want to cut that down to about 2 hours if I can. I have the ART DUAL USBPRE-2 CH PREAMP w/FREE RECORDING SOFTWARE will they work together?

Thanks!

What do you specifically want to accomplish with the MIDI connection?

I can't find ART's website (if they have one), so any info. I find about this device is going to be marketing hype at best. It appears to be a mic preamp with additional balanced TRS inputs. I would imagine the Jam Station's outputs are unbalanced. So you couldn't plug the Jam Station directly into the preamp without some kind of adapters. I don't see that the ART device has any MIDI ports either. I would look for a more conventional recording interface.

I want record cover songs. Right now I play in a one man band as the JS-5 as my backing track. Rock songs, Jimmy Buffet, Bob Segar, Roy Orbison etc etc etc...it just takes so long to program from the JS-5 itself. And I want to record my original songs on the computer using the JS-5 as a backing track.
