Hi i bought this FX processor a few years ago ...and i'm still not 100 % how to get the best out of it...

I play an Epiphone Les Paul(getting new Di Marzio pu's soon) through my Marshall MG100 DFX ...

How do i connect my pedal to the amp to get the best sound from it...

The preamp settings on the pedal don't sound very good the way i use it at the minute...the only thing i really like about the pedal is the digital delay ....can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?

PS the reason i want to know is because my band which has just formed a few months ago have gigs lined up in the next few weeks and i want to get the best sound i possibly can ...we play heavy AC-DC / Zeppelin sounding riffs

i usually just plug the pedals output into the marshall amp's input...What can i do to make the most of this equipment??

That's a pretty big question. Your pedal and amp have numerous configurations. The amp has a FX Send/Return on the back. If you connect the line out of the GT6 to the FX return you should be bypassing the Marshall's preamp section and using the one in the GT6. Try the usual... plugging the GT6 directly into your Marshall inst input (clean channel), turn the Marshall down a bit and use the GT6 as the gain into the amp.

If you're unhappy you may want to setup some effects in the GT6 that bypass the amp modeling section. I usually try and stay away from amp modeling since my personal experience is that they are mostly a distortion/tone thing in themselves.

Check out this recent post in the section.
