Check out the Roland web site. I think they have on line manuals.

OK...after I get done being mad at you for getting a DR-5 for free, I'll scan some of my manual and e-mail it to you. It was kind'a complicated at first, but now it's second nature.

Thanx, but don't be mad, I actually did alot
of work for it. I have a friend from Jamacia
who has some of the best recording equip around here but has no clue how to use it; a huge sony console, 3 adats,an ampex 2 inch 24 track which he wants to sell($1000) a few
neuman mics, old tube comps and parametric
eqs, a bunch of new comps and eqs, old tube
mic preamps, roland sound modules, acoulple
of dats, midi interfaces,you name it he's got
it. Anyway I put alot of the stuff together
for him and he has given me a bunch of stuff
over the last couple of years, a pair of tannoys, comp, dr5, snakes, all his throwaway
stuff. I'm waiting for him to get tired of having the big old ampex around and to give
that away. I makes me want to cry. I could
go and record there but it is about a 100
miles away. We met while we were both working
at Mariah Carries house in Mount Kisco N.Y.
You should have seen the 56 channel studio in
that basement but thats another story,
