boss br-532... any good?

Hey, I've been researching home-recording as of late and came across the Boss BR-532 as the leading, cheap choice. What do you all think of this contraption? Good for a beginner in home recording?

hey,the boss is a good recorder but remember that it's entry level and will be limited,another good entry level digital recorder is the new zoom mrs4 for $229,that's the one i use and i'm very pleased with it.

I agree with JakeP; the BR-532 is okay for what it is. I've done a lot of research on it and the BR-1180 CD and have decided to go with the 1180. It seems that the effects are better and you have more options. The people I've talked with who have used both units like them.
