Hi, I was offered a Boss 600 digital recorder for £200 recently--hardly used etc-----Being a solo singer/songwriter/acoustic I was thinking is this the tool for me.

When I asked could I upload the recorded songs onto my collection of songs I have on myspace--the seller had no idea--so my question is can you upload songs onto your PC

Another question is---are these recorders worth £200----I usually go into a studio and record one track live --no mixing--live! ---I'll pay £50 "hes a mate"then I give copies to friends radio stations etc

Apart from this my wife keeps asking me "what do you want for Christmas"
Should I say --A Boss 600 digital recorder!

The Boss 600 is a nice little recorder. You definately can connect it to computer via USB, and it also uses SD cards so you can copy takes from the SD to your computer as well.

You can buy them on sale in North America for around $300 which I think is about 200 Euro.

I would go through the roland site and see if it suits your needs. Here's a link:

Thanks for the reply Washburn100--funny I was about to play my 27 year old Washburn D-21S/N -when I noticed your username. cheers mate! I think I'll buy the little Boss 600---I'm sick of forgetting tunes/lyrics which pop up from nowhere--plus I'll be able to record outdoors-which is something I've always wanted to do.

I'm very much a acoustic/storey-teller---even in the studio I kept it simple--always trying to capture that "round the camp fire magic" to check out my organic songs go to www.myspace.com/michaeldickinson1 ---these songs are all recorded live and at very little cost.
