VF80 here ... Can I boost gain during track bounce of an individual guitar track? This track has me fingerpicking softly during most of the song in support of the voice, then I fingerpick (no voice now) the melody Chet Atkins style during the interlude. If necesary, I can just play louder or lean closer to the mike during this interlude, then back off afterwards. But if I want to goose the level up briefly, then back down, can I do this during track bounce and have it tranlate into a stronger lead guitar signal upon mastering?

Funny how the players of old all palyed in 1 take, on i microphone, and never had these "problems."

Yes, you can. One way to do this is to use the scene memory, or just move the fader manually. Either way, you want the movements to be subtle, not jerky. If you don't like it, just redo the bounce.
