Books on Guitar

this isnt a joke, but gutar for dummies actually helped me alot, it lays everything out for you, from styles to genres, to pretty much everything.

Myself, I like reading the articles in guitar mags. Also, there are a few decent instructional videos out there. If you get a good one, it's cool to actually see the examples. The problem is that there are many lousy ones too. And if you don't do your homework first, you can easily plop down $30 - $40 on a crappy video. Ask around for good ones that relate to what you want to learn. Lastly, there are many good web sites that have free lessons. Guitarnoise is one of them. Tom Serb hangs out there and also has written a book on theory. As for other books, sorry, I can't read. :p Ok, I just don't know of any.
