Don't know if many are familar with Blueridge, they're made by Saga out of China. The 280 & 260 models come with solid Brazillian Rosedwood for back and sides and having one breifly that I later decided I really couldn't afford to keep, I must say that out of the 75 or so acoustic guitars I've bought and sold over the last few years not one could touch this one as far as sound goes.

Some argument of the actual quality of the material being used, supposedly reclaimed stumpwood versus quartersawn used by Martin earlier but many believe this is the best part of the tree to use.., from the sound I can't disagee with them.

Plenty of people talking about Blueridge guitars at this forum if anyone wants to get familar with them.

these are some VERY nice boxes for their price range. I"ve been really looking hard at the BR180, I think that's the number, for a second, or travel, etc. guitar. I have a friend that has the lower end, BR70, and it's a sounder for sure. These guitars are really the talk around the bluegrass circuit. Folks with nice Martins (as I) seem to really like these guitars, and are picking them for their second guitars. I've been a Martin guy for years, and these are the best I've played, and heard, in the price range.

For $795 solid Indian Rosewood back & sides + a solid spruce top is pretty hard to find and a hard shell case is inc. from online guitars and some other places.

The nut is a little narrow, alot of people replace that with one that has wider spacing. It's a proven desigm based on pre-war Martic D45 specs. For the price you can't beat it.
