I have only one thing to say - Excellent! I don't remember ever hearing such great banjo/mandolin/dobro licks here before :D . Definitely pro!

Cool pick'n & spitt'n.
My short string won't stay in tune so I won't try to compete.
Really nice playing but the song misses some bottom end - can you throw in a string bass or play a duplicate line of the bottom E & A from the guitar with some bottom on it or even a jug just to give it a grounding?
Cool stuff nevertheless.
 
Man I was having a hoe down in my head for a minute and had to turn that shit off.
 
Really cool stuff indeed, the Earl Scruggs parts sound very good and immediately made me think of the Bonnie & Clyde movie soundtrack. All of the instrumental breaks sound great and the energy level stays high all the way through the song. The rhythm guitar fills in the low end quite well to me, the root notes of the chords do nicely. Sounds like a winner to me.

I play in an acoustic band and our banjo/dobro player plays clawhammer style, it is nice to hear a bit of bluegrass style for a change!

If you were fantasizing about taking a hoe down, I could see how banjo music might either spoil or enhance the moment...you know, depending upon your personality. Thanks for suffering through a bit of the tune, FoulPhil.

Thanks for this and the other very nice comments, Antonfan. Yeah, I listen to a lot of music that either has no bass or the lowest frequencies were lost in the capture. No big deal to me, either. However, I think the bar has been raised for having low end present in the last 20 years. So, it will probably end up with a bass. My favorite recording lately has been Ricky Skaggs "Songs my Father Loved". I can't even come close to that sound, but I wish I could. There is low end aplenty, and every note sounds as big as a barn.
 
It was good man lol. I'm just not use to banjo instrumentals hahaha. I'm not a complete fool I know it takes some real skill to get down like that. If I don't have a glass half full of whiskey in my hand then I don't have the buzz to really enjoy something like this :P
 
It is really well performed that is for sure. It would be great to hear a little more low end to give it more bottom. Really great otherwise.

Very fine instrumental!! I really like the chord changes, and how you incorporated the tuners in there.

As a lover of bluegrass, I do appreciate all the licks I heard in there.
