you should bias the tube "hot" that way when you power it on you can throw the standby switch (you DO have a standby switch... right????) after only 19.8 sec. operation will be much smoother, no chunks on the top either... (does thast mean "a smooth high end"?)

Tube lava lamp

How long a break in time does it require?

Break in time? What the h3ll??!!

...It's Behringer, so it will perform as good out of the box as it will after "breaking in." That's one of the perks of "Tube Warmth." The tube does it all ...rejoice in the majesty of the starved-plate tube distortion, er.., ummm, I mean "warmth"

...Ignore the man behind the curtain!

:D :D :D

I learn SO MUCH

just by hanging out with you guys!

I probably need to install a tube in my Ultra-Curve to warm it up....

My old drummer really sucked. Is there a particular color lava lamp that would have helped him show up to practice, stop doing heroin, and actually remember how to play our songs? It's a little scary to think that this might be entirely my fault that he couldn't play worth a shit, and I need to know what color lamp to buy that might prevent this from happening in the future.

Sure there is. It's called the "be in time or this goes up yer ass green" lavalamp. Look at the shape.. they were designed for lazy drummers LOL

Actually, the best tube to put in the Berri lava lamp, and anything else that uses tubes, is their new and improved Ultra Vacuum Tube:

http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/prod...EARS&pid=00917821000&sid=I0080602410004900085

Although that is actually a Craftsman product, as Berri always does, they ripped it off EXACTLY, but made it superior in every way, for a lower price of $1.99. Even the consistency of the build is better, which is often a problem with such vaccum tubes. They can accomplish such improvements at lower prices because they get their stuff made in probably the highest quality factory in China, with the best QC of any factory, ever. It is also because they are actually the true god of the universe.
