I'm not too sure where to post this, hopefully this is the right place.
I've been having problems using the Blue Snowball Microphone.
Whenever I plug it into my Acer Aspire TimelineX 3830T-6849 running Windows 7, I get the following response:
"Device driver software was not installed successfully"
If I check device manager, it will appear as "Blue Snowball", but there will be a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark on the inside.
I cannot record anything with it.
The serial for this Snowball is S/N018111.
Things I've tried:
-Using it on a Windows XP machine, where it works perfectly
-Finding a working driver via Windows Update, to no avail
-Finding a driver on the internet, to no avail
-Downloading a Blue Snowball Microphone high gain update, which did not successfully install even though I had full permission (In administrator mode)
-Downloading the same update, but on a Windows XP machine, in hopes that it would then work on my Acer. On the XP the update worked perfectly, and the input was even louder. Yet when I
brought it back to my Acer, it still does not work.
-Using the Snowball in a USB 2.0 instead of a 3.0
How can I resolve this issue? I need a solution fast as Christmas is coming soon and I plan on gifting it away.
Thanks!
