Hey,

I have a mid range voice i guess you could say and I have a pop-rock/pop-punk band, so the vocals need to cut through everything else.

People have actually suggested the B0 cap since it's a little brighter than the B6 but other people have said the B6 is the way to go. I've even had a few people tell me that it's not much of a difference so either or.

I'm just looking for a little more input or help.

I'm afraid that the B0 will be to thin? Is it? I was also told that the jump in the highs in the B0 is out of range for most people so sibilants isn't much of a problem either, is it a problem for the B6 cap?

You got my interest up.
That could be a mic, well worth aiming for.

I know! It seems to be a great mic and isn't too pricey either!

My main goal is to record vox (and my band) and then have the tracks sent off to my bands sound guy where he can mix and master them. So thats why I'm just trying to figure out if I'd be better off with a mic (or capsule like B6) with a more flat response or if a capsule like B0 would benefit me or not really matter?

I have a pair of Bluebirds. Just got them. Love them.
Under $300 on E-Bay and elsewhere.
The Blue Bottle Rocket is going for between $600 & $700 plus about $280 per capsule.
In the case of the Bluebird, the equivalent Bottle Cap works out to about the same price as the actual mic.
Impressive but "Inexpensive" is not a word, I'd be using.

You found capsules on Ebay for roughly 300 bucks? I'm not finding any! lol.

The B8 cap that comes with the Bottle Rocket is essentially the Bluebird mic. You're actually taking a hit when just buying the mic with the one capsule, you're more paying for the ability to switch caps later on. I think I'm just gonna get the Bottle Rocket and get the B0 and eventually I'll save up and get a B6 cap as well since it's fairly similar to the Kiwi.

I can never really get a straight answer, just as 1 person tells me the B0 cap is better for vocals I have somebody else say the B6 is, so, I'm thinking it really just comes down to opinion and what you like. As with most music oriented stuff.

Yeah, I've come to that conclusion as well. I'm a little timid cause the B0 is supposed to be brighter than the B6 which would cut through the mix better but I just dont want it to be too bright...

Weird, I'm wondering why they would sell a B8 capsule? It comes with the Bottle Rocket. lol. Unless you somehow buy a Bottle Rocket without the B8 capsule which most retailers don't do.

Well, they go up in price according to the corresponding microphone.
There are other brands, you know.

What? Those capsules only work with the Bottle series.
