"inching" is a good word...... ;)

Worked out the remaining details with the contractor (finishing and whatnot) yesterday -- I'm looking at the end of march before the gear can go in! :(
 
Patience, Bruce. The end of March is only 12 days away...

That being said, I know when I was down to the stage of paint and carpet, it seemed like forever before I was ready to put the gear in, and mine is a mere shadow of a studio compared to your new digs.

I was noticing John's floorplan that I hadn't really uncovered before and a question popped into my mind. I see you have soffits. Are you putting your KRK's in there? Are you also putting some smaller nearfields on the desk? Just curious.

Anyway, it is almost there.

I know... it's not that far off... but I have NO patience! ;)

Yes - I'm soffit-mounting the V8s and my secondaries will be placed on stands near the corners... because the window width is slightly constricted width-wise, I want to avoid placing monitors on the top of the console. (As well, placing monitors there may conflict with the path to the soffit-mounted ones!)

Thanks - yeah - it's getting there!

Lighting goes in after the ceiling painting is done...
 
something is missing...

i don't see enough beer on the floor. i thought people drink a lot when they build things, thats why they get paid to repair them later.
