Blue Baby Bottle Condenser

Anybody have one of these? I am thinking about purchasing one. I am recording rap vocals and this was reccomended to me by an engineer. Any thoughts on this mic? PROS, CONS?

Pros: it's a cool mic with a unique sound, probably good for rap I'd imagine as it gives a sound between a dynamic and a condenser. Plus it looks cool :cool:

Cons: it's a niche mic more than an all-around mic. It does not have too much high end, so if somebody has a female singer in their posse who wants to cut one of those breathy pop/R&B style backing tracks, I don't think it would work too well for that.
 
I used one on a flute last weekend and it sounded great !

I don't like it on my voice however that doesn't mean it is a bad vocal mic. Like other folks have said, it has "character" which means it will shine on some voices and sound like crap on others !

Actually in my experience(I own one) the mic blows ass for male vox, excels on female vox and is good for little else but a room mic. It has a nice sound but requires a nice room or you will hear it. It's output is ridiculously hot, almost twice as hot as any other mic I own. IMO it's a great mic for a studio that has a great room and lots of other mics, but for a project studio I think there are many other choices that are much better suited for all around work.
