Blinding rock track

Very good guitar sound at the start. Nice and clean. Vocals are very good. Someone has a good voice. I really like the track. You did a great job mixing this. Very nice sounds.

I'm sure there are issues, but it smokes anything I have done, and sounds good at this end.

Wonder if anyone can spot this. Its kinda hidden a wee bit. Its like an optical illussion but for the ears! Ill tell you that its in the last chorus but thats all.
Lets see who spots it.

I like the song very much.....kind of sounds like the killers in some spots (atleast the voice does). I like this type of music.

What did you use for the drums?? they sound ok but not always in time. Its like the song is going one place and the drums are trying to go another (does that make sense) . The ending is tighter...and I like the build up though. Good job.

I like the clean guitar......but not so much the distorted sounds. What did you use for your distorted guitar? The distorted guitars sound like they are doing some cool things but it kind of gets masked by the tone......or maybe too much gain. Try backing off gain and layering the crap out of the guitars.

The guy screaming while the other says "I can't feel" or atleast thats what I think your saying? Makes it appear like one person is screaming "I can't feel"

Man i like this song.......i have listened like 5 times now. Ending is awesome .....
guitars is doing some cool stuff......too bad I don't like the tone!!!
 
Yeah I tracked this song ages ago and just remixed it there to try and fix the guitars. Too much distortion and probably the wrong distortion also.
My set up was: Ibanez S-series into a Boss GT6 multi effects. and the other guitarists setup was: stratocastor into a 7 string distortion stomp box. both went into a marshal JCM2000 DSL50 with 1960 cab.
I used a shity drum kit for the drums that wasnt exactly in perfect tuning. the kik drum is a bit out at times yeah. Some of the rythyms you need to really listen to a few times to get into the groove of as they do work very well but maybe not to the first time listener.

Cool! yeah the more I listen to it the more I get into it. I commented after listening once, but have since listened to it a bunch of times. There is a lot going on. Pretty cool stuff. I will have to check out the rest of your tunes.

Its alot less noticeable than somthing like that. It lasts only like half a second.
Ok another clue. Panning is involved or it sounds like panning is involved. OK another clue. Drums.

The thing I was geting at was the freaky cymbal panning from one side to the other. It happens a few times in the song actually. Strange coincidence is that I noticed the same thing in A perfect circle (13th step) cant remember what tune.
I didnt copy it as I didnt even mean it. Not sure that Andy that mixed A perfect circle meant it either.

Heres my analogy of my freak occurance.
I had bad sounding toms so I gated them heavily to get rid of the boomyness at the end of each hit. Beacuase of the spill from the cymbals just after the floor tom is hit the gate closes and stops the cymbal spill early. But because of the OHs and other spil the cymbals are still heard. So becuase the floor tom was panned to one side and one of the OHs was panned to the opposite side that most of the cymbal was comgin from then the effect of panning automation is heard.
Freaky.
Has anyone else ever encountered this occurence or ever noticed it on A perfect circle or evern thie tune of mine.

A perfect circle. 13th step. track (4) at 1:41.
Check it out if you have the album. sounds to me now that it was intentional but sounds like a dodgy cymbal sound straight after it. sybelance? maybe from too much gain hitting the Eq either at mixing or mastering stage?
 
I like the sounds your getting on this recording...very clean and crisp and up front...when the heavy part kicks in..every thing sounds compressed and very 2 dimensional to my ears...which is the modern sound that alot of bands have now...would maybe like to hear a bit more depth or bottom end to it.Cool song!
 
Cheers man. I had to compress the bass guitar heavily. I compressed the drums a bit and compressed the vocals a good bit. No compression on guitars as distrtion has natural compression on it.

I liked this song. I thought some of the background vocals were weird in the begining. I really liked the high vocal part in the song, it reminded me of Trapt. I didn't like the distortion on the guitar.
