Bleeding tracks

Here's my problem. I'm using Sonar PE8 with a tascam us-122 as my interface. If I use EZDrummer it bleeds into the guitar(or any other track) I'm trying to record over. Example: EZdrummer is track 1 inserted as a softsynth, track 2 is rhythm guitar. I drag and drop my groove into track 1, no problem. However, when track 2 is "monitored" I can here the drums coming through. I'm not sure if I can overdub over the drums without actually listening to what I'm playing. I'm assuming this is a problem with the interface but I never had this problem with Cubase LE. Could it be the software?

Maybe your signal is looping in and out of your interface

I thought that it might be the interface but I'm not sure how to remedy this.

Have you tried muting the drum thing & see if it still bleeds?
ave you checked what input device you've selected? (some comps have "what U hear" & therefor record whatever is going through the system.
