My friends in Blaxmyth disagree.

ummm...there's nothing black metal about that stuff. i think you guys are confusing it with hardcore and modern metal. the actual genre of traditional black metal is most certainly lo-fi. mayhem, emperor, burzum, darkthrone, a lot of those albums sound like garbage, which adds to the character. at least that's been my understanding.

edit: in fact, to quote from the black metal wikipedia article: Low-cost production quality began as a must for early black metal bands with low budgets. However, even as bands moved to increase their production quality over time, low fidelity was often intentional for some bands to remain true to the genre's roots and raw sound. Darkthrone's Transilvanian Hunger is one of the better-known examples of this type of production quality.

It COULD have been due to the fact that those talented gentlemen just happened to be of African descent....

Just saying maybe....

Agree with most on here, way too thin. I listen to alot of this sytle music and it fits in great though. Definetly remindes me of older european black metal. What did you do to the vocs a like 1:50? Sounds awesome. Snare sound quality definetly lacking.
