I just didn't want Michael to have a false sense of security in something thats required, but useless as dictated.

Rest assured, I have no false sense of security.
I installed the fire stops because it was required by code, and I had to have them in to get the inspection sign-off and move on to the next phase of construction.
Those firestops are comming out before sheetrock goes up though.
