im using cubase vst32. so far i have only recorded a four track drum part and a couple or guitar parts.

nearly always when i was recording drums, a window popped up that said audio error, and the recording stopped...im hoping this is a software problem, but i dont think it is. anyways, if this is common please help.

the other thing is there is a slight delay when you play anything in. ive solved this for now by turning the channel down low enough so i cant hear it when recording, and when i playback it has recorded in time perfectly. i just have the problem with not being able to hear what i play when im recording as the delay is way too confusing. any ideas?

if anyone can help it is much appreciated.

Can you give more info on your set-up, computer, soundcard, mixer?

Lowering the buffer settings in your sound card control panel will help with the latency issues, as for the audio err, since you know nothing about your comp its hard to pick out! it could be that you do not have enough RAM, running only one hard drive when you should have two, the RPM of your hard drive, I could go on and on. If you go start > control panel > system that will tell you about your comp. Get those specs and post back. also I need to know what operating system you have.

a little bit about my computer...

AMD Athlon XP 1700+
1.00GHz
512 MB RAM

im on XP home edition...sorry this isn't exactly about cubase anymore...

Not tring to be a smart ass but this isnt a cracked version is it? do you have a USB dongle? Your computer should be able to handle that all day long. cracked versions always have problems. ;)
