Around six I think but I don't know for sure, I'll ask. There are about 40-50 musicians that rotate. They come up with some amazing configurations though and we're fortunate to have cello's, viola's, horn, keys, bass, guitars, some great vocalists, a great sound system to use and a great engineer.

I attend a traditional church as well (methodist), but the music director and the pastor let me drag in some bluegrassers a few times a year and we shake 'em up a bit. The congregation seems to like it alot. You might see if you can expand your church's musical offerings with a 'special' now and then.
