I recently bought a Beyerdynamic MCE 90 from ebay on a whim for very little cash. The only other condenser I have is a Rode NT1000 (which I love). I wanted another condenser just for acoustic guitar and general 'other' jobs when I wanted more options (room mic etc).
In reviews this make was said to have a 'brittle' or 'harsh' top end... to me this one sounds like it's running through a crappy de-esser all the time. It sounds little better than a dynamic mic.
Any ideas why???
